Dr. Seyed Khosrow Tayebati is currently an Associate Professor of Human Anatomy at School of Pharmacy of Camerino University in Italy. He did his Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Pisa. During his post-doc period, using suitable animal models, he studied different neurotransmitter systems, brain morphological features, effects of hypertension on different cerebral areas and their micro vascular system both in normal ageing and in neurodegenerative diseases. He has a particular interest in drug development and therapy of mild cognitive impairment, neurological disorders and vascular dementia. He has authored or co-authored over 110 articles in peer-reviewed journals, as well as chapters in books, etc. He also serves as an editorial member for various international journals.
Dr. Tayebati’s research interests include Animal models, Hypertension, Vascular and cerebrovascular disorders, vascular dementia, Ageing, Brain morphology, Neurotransmitters, Neurodegenerative diseases, Oxidative stress, Obesity, Metabolic syndrome, Cognitive functions and Behaviors.
