Detection Thresholds

How Plagiarism is Handled

All submitted manuscripts are checked for plagiarism after submission and before starting review.

<5%

Minor Similarity

Manuscript given an ID and sent to author for content revision.

5-30%

Moderate Plagiarism

Manuscript NOT given an ID and sent back to author for content revision.

>30%

Rejected

Manuscript rejected without review. Authors may revise and resubmit as a new submission.

📄 Before Publication

If plagiarism is detected by the editorial board, reviewer, or editor at any stage — before or after acceptance, during editing, or at proof stage — we alert the author(s) and ask them to rewrite the content or cite the original references. If more than 25% of the paper is plagiarized, the article may be rejected.

⚠ After Publication

If plagiarism is detected after publication, the journal will conduct an investigation and contact the author's institute and funding agencies. The paper will be marked on each page of the PDF. Depending on the extent, the paper may be formally retracted.

Types of Plagiarism

Understanding What Constitutes Plagiarism

Direct Copying

Copying exact content or purposely using portions of another author's paper without citation.

Figures & Illustrations

Copying figures, tables, equations, or illustrations without acknowledging the source.

Internet Content

Using text downloaded from the internet or copying photographs and diagrams without attribution.

Self-Plagiarism

Verbatim reuse of significant portions of one's own copyrighted work without citing the original source.

Accidental Plagiarism

Authors may not know they are plagiarizing. It is the author's responsibility to understand proper quoting and paraphrasing.

Blatant Plagiarism

Purposefully using someone else's ideas or work without proper acknowledgment, including bought or borrowed research papers.

📜 Originality Requirement

By submitting a manuscript, it is understood that it is original, unpublished work and not under consideration elsewhere. Manuscripts may be checked for originality using anti-plagiarism software.
