Emmanouil Malandrakis is a post-doctoral scholar at the University of Thessaly Greece. From 2016 he is serving as a Production Manager at Roussas Dairy SA, Greece and as a scientific advisor for fish farming and seafood processing companies. During 2015 he was a post-doctoral scientist at the Agricultural University of Athens. He received his BSc (hons), MSc and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Thessaly Greece. Since 2015, he has taught Biochemistry, Aquaculture, and Management of aquaculture enterprises. He was trained in molecular biology techniques at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) at Heidelberg, Germany. His research interests span both molecular and marine biology. Much of his work has been on understanding the impact of stress on marine organisms at the molecular level. He has worked in more than ten research projects. He has contributed to numerous papers in scientific journals and proceedings of national and international congresses.

Dr. Tamer EL-Syed Ali has over 24 years of professional experience in the Marine Science, Nutrition, Health Management, Aquaculture Engineering, Animal Science, and Oceanography. He received his Ph.D. in aquaculture, Animal Science Department, Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain, with the general grade “Excellent”. As a visiting scientist at Institute for Environmental Studies(IVM), Professor Tamer EL-Sayed Ali as a faculty of Earth Life Sciences at Vrije University, Amsterdam. He also has an experience over Fish eel (Anguilla Anguilla) reproduction technique, Fish eggs quality examination and Chemical analysis of different ingredients of diets & fish tissues. He also participated in national and international projects as a researcher and coordinator in the Oceanography. He is also having teaching experience in the following courses like B.SC, M.SC & Ph.D. students and he also worked as an experimental director of B.Sc. students projects in Animal Science Department (UPV) during the period (2003-2005). He is an Examiner of a thesis submitted to Alexandria University. He is also having an membership in some of the Societies like Member in Spanish Aquaculture Society (SEA), Member of European Aquaculture Society (EAS). He also has participated as a reviewer & editor in some of the Journals and also published the Journals. He also visited the technical visits in some of the countries. He also participated in several conferences, workshops & professional training courses. For his contributions in the field of Marine Science, Aquaculture, Professor Tamer EL-Sayed Ali was honored with Incentive Prize of Alexandria University in 2012. Professor Tamer EL-Sayed Ali has been a professor at Alexandria University Since 1994.
Research: Dr. Tamer EL-Syed's research interests include Producing of Nile Tilapia in Marine water by Genetic Engineering, in the intensive system. Design of zero-discharge Tilapia recirculating system. Fish Physiology and Biochemistry. Aquaculture Engineering. Rearing of catfish in different water salinities in close Water System.

He also did his Master of Philosophy in Botany from University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka in 2002 and PhD in Botany from University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka in 2011, now working as a Secretary of Science and Technology Advisory Committee (SLAAS) and as an Editorial Board member of Pharmacognosy research, Chair Person of Sri Lanka Association of Advancement of Science award committee. He is the author of many relevant publications in the World Journal of Agricultural Research and Journal of Ethno pharmacology, and also has many Research Communications in Sri Lanka and Proc. international Conference on Restorative & Alternative Medicine, USA, and Proc.73rd annual sessions of Sri Lanka Association for the Advancement of Science.

Gethin Thomas is a senior lecturer in zoology with a broad interest in how hosts and parasites interact. His research is focused on host behavioral and physiological changes following parasite infestation, and he is also experienced in a broad range of sampling methods, including marine and freshwater techniques, with an emphasis on parasitology and whole animal physiology. Currently he teaches on a range of zoological and marine biology modules, is a member of several university and national committees, and is the coordinator for the Biosciences Second Year at Swansea University. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and runs a freshwater mussel surveying consultancy in his spare time. He is a member of British Society of Parasitology, a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Freshwater Biological Association (FBA), and the Fisheries Society of the British Isles (FSBI).

He was educated at University of Bristol and a Founder Member of IEEM, Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (FCIWEM), Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) and a Chartered Scientist (CSci). After working as both the Civil Service and industry obtained a BSc (Hons) in Biological Sciences from University of Exter and then a PhD (Ecology of Myxogastrids) from University of Bristol which was continued as a post doctorial research.  He worked as an Advisor to European Environment Agency on effects of Nitrogen deposition on biodiversity and Lead author for IPBES, Edited two books published 4 reviews, 58 scientific papers and one international report, 10 conference contributions;17 ecological reports for a range of organizations including Plant life, Woodland Trust, Cress well Associates. He also worked as a Council Member of British Mycological Society since 1992-1995. He was awarded with British Council award to study the myxomycetes of soils in the Czechoslovak Republic (1984).
