Dr. Leo B Twiggs Is internationally recognized leader in gynecologic cancer .He is a practicing oncologic surgeon who has been a leader and an innovator in the diagnosis and treatment of cervical cancer. He was responsible for training more than forty Gynecologic Oncologic surgeons during his academic career. He was the chairperson of Obstetrics and Gynecology of two academic institutions-The University of Minnesota and the University of Miami as well as the Associate Dean for Women’s Health and Director of the Institute for Women’s Health at Miami. He currently professor emeritus at the University of Miami and is in private practice in Albuquerque New Mexico. He is sought after for his opinions are requested on gynecologic cancer issues, and organizational change in complex academic medical centers.

Kruk research interests includes, Ovarian epithelial cancer is the leading cause of gynecologic cancer death in women in the US, the fourth leading cause of cancer death among women and is associated with a 1.7% lifetime risk.  It is estimated that 23,100 new cases are diagnosed in the U.S. annually and that 14,000 women die annually from this disease. Her research focuses on the molecular changes responsible for early stages contributing to ovarian cancer in a bench-to-bedside manner using human tissue culture and clinical specimens. Current studies include: understanding the molecular mechanisms by which germline mutations in an ovarian cancer susceptibility gene, BRCA1, alter patients’ response to chemotherapy and promote malignant transformation; delineating the molecular mechanisms that regulate telomerase, an enzyme that confers cellular immortalization and an important, early step in malignant transformation and; developing a potential urinary clinical diagnostic/prognostic test for ovarian cancer. Taken together, her lab remains devoted and committed to impacting the welfare of women.

Dr. Moore is a Gynecologic Oncologist and research scientist in The Program in Women’s Oncology at Women and Infants Hospital / Brown University and is a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Dr. Moore is the director of the Molecular Therapeutics Laboratory, The Center for Biomarkers and Emerging Technology (CBET) as well as the Associate Director for The Program in Women’s Oncology at Women and Infants Hospital. Dr. Moore’s research interests include investigation of oncogenic pathways and clinical trials in gynecologic cancer with a special emphasis on biomarker research and novel therapies for ovarian cancer. Dr. Moore is recognized as a national and international expert on biomarkers for the detection of ovarian cancer and led the team that developed the Risk of Ovarian Malignancy Algorithm (ROMA), a test that was recently cleared by the US FDA, which detects ovarian cancer in women with an ovarian cyst or pelvic mass. ROMA is now available for clinical use worldwide.

Dr. Veena N. Rao is Professor and Co-Director of the Cancer Biology Program, GCC Distinguished Cancer Scholar, Department of OB/GYN at Morehouse School of Medicine. She completed her PhD work at the CCMB and received her Ph.D. from Osmania University, India.  Some of her Ph.D. work was done at Max Planck Institute in Germany, University of Edinburgh, Scotland and MIT, Boston.  Her postdoctoral work was completed at the University of California, Berkeley and Yale University under the mentorship of Professor Weisman. She was a Forgarty International fellow at the Molecular Oncology lab of late Dr. Papas at NCI where she and her collaborator Dr. Reddy identified the ERG gene which is involved in prostate cancers. She served as Assistant Professor at Temple University and Associate Professor at Jefferson Medical College where she identified and cloned the ELK-1 gene and BRCA1 isoforms. She has been working in the BRCA1 field from the time it was discovered and has several patents.

Dr. Lee P. Shulman, Professor and Head of the Section of Reproductive Genetics in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. He received his bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College. Dr. Shulman then completed his internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at North Shore University Hospital in New York, where he served as Chief resident during his final year. From there he completed a fellowship in Reproductive Genetics at the University of Tennessee, Memphis under the guidance of Drs. Joe Leigh Simpson and Sherman Elias. In 1999 he relocated to the University of Illinois at Chicago where he served as Deputy Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Director of the Divisions of Reproductive Genetics and Ambulatory Care Services and Practices and as Medical Director of the Center of Excellence in Women’s Health.

Dr. Galloway is a founding member of the "Robotic Residency Training Network" which includes several additional residency programs including Duke, North Carolina, John Hopkins, Harvard, Cleveland Clinic, Lehigh Valley, Central Florida and Wright State University. He is one the earliest adaptors of robotic surgical simulation training for residents. Dr. Galloway is also the co-director of surgical simulation at the Brethen Center for Surgical Advancement at Miami Valley Hospital. Dr. Ayman Mahdy, MD, PhD a specialist in urinary incontinence, voiding dysfunction and women's urological issues, with the University of Cincinnati, Department of Surgery, Division of Urology as an Associate Professor of Clinical Surgery, Director of Voiding Dysfunction & Female Urology.  Dr. Mahdy received his formal residency training in Urology in Egypt in 2003.  He graduated from and held a staff position at Assiut University Hospital in the same year.  He then moved to the United States in 2005.  He obtained a basic research fellowship in prostate disease at the Medical University of South Carolina (2005-2007) and then moved to Florida where he was trained at Cleveland Clinic Florida and obtained state-of-the-art training in Voiding Dysfunction, Female Urology, Urodynamics and Urologic Reconstruction.  Dr. Mahdy was also an Assistant Professor at the University of Arkansas from October 2009 to March 2011. Dr. Mahdy has published over 20 peer reviewed articles, 8 book chapters and over 40 meeting abstracts and videos. He has presented over 25 state-of-the-art lectures to different societies and at different scientific meetings. Dr. Mahdy has received several awards during his career including Cleveland Clinic Florida Most Valuable Fellow (2009), Cincinnati “Top Doctors” Cincinnati Magazine (2013) (2014), “Educator of the Year” University of Cincinnati, Division of Urology Residency Program (2013-2014).
Research: Dr. Mahdy has developed extensive experience in the new technology including Green Light Laser Prostatectomy, Interstim and the Artificial Urinary Sphincter for male incontinence. He also treats stone conditions using Holmium Laser and Extra-corporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL).

Dr. Gavin Sacks is a senior fertility specialist and clinical director at IVF Australia in Sydney, and Conjoint Associate Professor at the University of New South Wales. After training in Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Reproductive medicine at the Universities of Cambridge, Oxford and London in the UK, and with a PhD in reproductive immunology at the University of Oxford, he moved to Sydney in 2005. Dr. Wang Chi Chiu is currently the Deputy Director of Prenatal Genetic Diagnosis Centre, and Division Head and Professor of Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at CUHK. Dr. Wang joined the department after  his MBBS degree with honours in 1994, and in 1998 and 2011 he received  his first PhD in Surgical Sciences from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and his second PhD in Genetics from Japan National Institute of Genetics. Dr. Wang has major research focus in studying congenital fetal anomalies and therapeutic intervention. With wide range of experience in clinical diagnosis, medical research and teaching, Dr. Wang was appointed to the editorial boards and review panels of many important research funding agents and journals. He was also a council member of the Hong Kong Society of Medical Genetics. Dr. Wang has worked on many research projects received a total of 45 million research grants and owned 2 patents. He has published over 120 ISI articles on many acclaimed journals including Gene Dev, Proc Natl Acad Sci U S A, Hum Reprod Update, Angiogenesis, Cell Research, J Biol Chem, Free Radical Biol Med, Mol Hum Reprod, Hum Reprod, and Fertil Steril. His success in fetal medicine research has earned him multiple local and international scholarships and awards.

Dr. Wen Zhou received his MD from Peking University, Beijing, China (2001-2006). He got his Ph.D. from the University of Miami, FL in 2014, where he studied how ubiquitin SCF ligases function as dual-role co-activators of ERα to drive ERα target gene expression and receptor proteolysis. His work has provided a novel rationale for the investigation of ubiquitin E3 ligase inhibitors together with anti-estrogens for breast cancer therapy. He was further trained in the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center with Dr. Joyce M. Slingerland and the Columbia University with Dr. Carol Prives as postdoctoral fellow and research scientist. During his postdoc training course, he was enthusiasm in breast cancer stemness and p53 biology. He is an Associate Faculty Member of Faculty of 1000 - "Women's Health" Faculty. He is in the editorial boards of several Nature Publishing Group journals, including Frontiers in Endocrinology and Frontiers in Oncology. He is also a CNKI oversea expert for Tsinghua Tongfang Inc., China. He has published a number of highly cited articles, including Nature Reviews Cancer, Oncogene, Mol Cell Biol, and J Biol Chem. His research projects have been generously funded by US Department of Defense.

She has over 73 publications in several National and International publications. She is the coordinator of FOGSI Quiz Committee of North Zone and Quiz Convener for UP Chapter of OBG and an esteemed member of Editorial Board of Journal of UP Chapter of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Indian Journal Of Obstetrics and Gynecology research. Since 2009 she has been working as the co-coordinator of Medical Education Unit at JNMC and is trying to introduce innovative methods in Medical Education.
